St Swithun’s welcomes
|
St Swithun’s is delighted to welcome the senior team who will help bring its new Nursery and Preschool to life, creating a warm and inspiring environment for children aged 9 months to 4 years.
Rooted in the school’s values of Caritas, Humilitas and Sinceritas, St Swithun’s Nursery and Preschool will place nurture, wellbeing and positive relationships at the heart of each child’s earliest experiences. Through play, discovery and exploration, the team will help children grow in confidence and curiosity, lighting their way from the very first steps.
Leading the new setting as Nursery Manager is Sarah Lindsay, an experienced early years professional whose career has spanned nursery and childcare settings across the South of England and Scotland. Sarah has previously played a key role in establishing a new nursery and is particularly passionate about outdoor learning and the opportunities it creates for young children to explore, discover and develop. Alongside her early years qualifications, Sarah holds a degree in history.
Joining Sarah as Deputy Nursery Manager is Izzy Richardson, who brings significant experience working with babies and younger children, alongside leadership experience as both a room leader and deputy manager. With a degree in music and early-years expertise, Izzy is passionate about creating rich and varied experiences through which every child can thrive. She will also lead on inclusion across the Nursery and Preschool, helping to ensure every child feels known, supported and able to flourish.
Supporting families and the Nursery team will be Nursery Administrator Bryony Bisley. Bryony brings extensive organisational and business experience, having successfully run her own interior design business for many years alongside working across a variety of sectors. With a degree in marketing, she brings a warm, creative, and highly organised approach to the role and looks forward to welcoming families to the new St Swithun’s Nursery community.
“I’m really excited about meeting all of the children and their families and creating something warm, nurturing and safe for the children. I’m looking forward to seeing how the children develop because that is one of the greatest privileges, to see how a child grows and develops while they are with you.”

St Swithun’s Nursery and Preschool will welcome girls and boys from nine months to four years old and will operate for 50 weeks of the year, from 7.30am to 6.00pm, giving families flexibility alongside the reassurance of a nurturing, high-quality early years environment.
The Nursery is expected to open in autumn 2026, beginning with provision for two- to three-year-olds in September, and marking an exciting new chapter for the St Swithun’s community.
Families interested in securing a place can register their interest now and are invited to attend a Founding Families Welcome Event on Wednesday 2 September from 10am-midday.
