At St Swithun’s we believe in providing all our girls with a complete, world class education, which encourages students to achieve widely without diminishing the primacy of the classroom. We are proudly an academic school, and we are delighted with the consistently excellent A level results achieved by our students. |
In 2025, 34% of all A-Level grades were A*, while 70% were graded A*/A - our strongest set of A-Levels results ever. 91% of A Levels were A* to B while 65% of the year group earned grades AAA and above and 17% achieved three or more A* grades.
These strong A level results allow many of our students to meet their aspirations for their chosen pathway beyond school. The university degrees and destinations of our students reflect the high levels of achievement and broad interests of our sixth form students. For a fourth year in a row over 10% of students earned places at the universities of Cambridge or Oxford.
In 2024 we were ranked by the Sunday Times Parent Power League as the top school in Hampshire for A-Level results and in the top 5 girls-only boarding schools for A-Level and GCSE results combined.
