St Swithun's is proud to offer a 20% discount on boarding fees to military and diplomatic families. |
St Swithun's is home to a number of students from military families. Many of these families travel all over the world and chose St Swithun's for their daughter as a welcoming, steadfast place to call home.
We understand that the decision to send your daughter to boarding school is not made lightly. Of course, you want her to thrive academically, but you also want to know that she will build lasting friendships, discover and pursue her own passions, and feel confident seeking support whenever she needs it. Above all, you want her to feel that she belongs, that she is understood, and that she has a place where she can truly flourish.
“Working away from home, it was really important to get our school choice right. St Swithun’s really is a family school. The care, attention and compassion they show to all the girls really stood out.”

Pastoral support
We strive to make St Swithun's a home for our boarders – a place for growing their independence and nurturing their wellbeing.
Students can access a bespoke Positive Education programme to equip them with the knowledge and understanding they need to build healthy relationships, embrace challenge and change, and persevere in the face of setbacks.
House parents are available night and day in case students have any concerns. Each boarding house also has a day matron and resident tutor who see the girls every day and are another member of staff that they can lean on when they need support.
Outside of the boarding house, students can seek support from our full-time clinical psychologist, the school chaplain, their form tutor, or any member of staff they feel comfortable opening up to.
Our state-of-the-art sports facilities give students agency in building active lives; we encourage each girl to discover and pursue sport that suits her, whether it be cricket, badminton, karate or dance. By developing healthy routines in school, our girls build lifelong habits that will support their physical and mental health beyond their time at St Swithun's.

“St Swithun’s has been a great choice for us as a diplomatic family living in three different postings over our daughter's time there. It’s especially good for weekends when we are back in the UK, but also providing plenty to do when we weren’t around, and lots of weekly boarding friends she could spend time with."
