What to expect at our Prep School Open Events
Our Prep open afternoons include:
- Welcome from Prep school head Liz Norris.
- Individual tour of the school led by a year 6 pupil.
- Light refreshments served and there will be a chance for you to meet a number of our specialist teachers.
- All of our open days occur on a Friday afternoon during term time.
Preschool and reception themed afternoons include a welcome from Mrs Norris, our Prep School Head, and Ms Say, our EYFS head, followed by a range of activities for our visiting children and a chance to see our Early Years provision and meet our staff.
Early Years Afternoons
We welcome all families that are looking for places for their children in Preschool and Reception.
The event will have a fantastic interactive theme and there will be the chance to familiarise yourself with the setting, meet our friendly staff, and enjoy refreshments with prospective families.
We provide an extraordinary education, going far beyond the core Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. Our preschool and reception are adventure-filled and children are immersed in a world of opportunities and exciting experiences.
St Swithun’s Early Years offers a co-ed Preschool and is girls-only from Reception.

Your individual Prep School visit will take you around the key areas of the school accompanied by a member of the admissions team. You will meet with a member of the leadership team. Please contact Sara Mathieson via email (PrepAdmissions@stswithuns.com) or phone to arrange a visit. |

Online meetings or telephone calls with a member of the admissions team can easily be arranged – please get in touch. We also hold question-and-answer sessions online when needed.
