Our swimming pool, performing arts centre, sports facilities and accommodation are available for hire at certain times throughout the year.

We also host swimming lessons and lifeguard training, both of which are run by our partners.

Swimming Pool

About our facility

Our centre features a 25m 6 lane swimming pool, teaching pool (13.5mx4.5m), x1 3 metre and 2x 1 metre duraflex springboards.

Membership

The pool is open to members for time-tabled swimming sessions throughout the year. We offer membership for parents, former pupils and members of the public, however public membership currently has a waiting list in place. Associated members of the school please contact us for further information on becoming a member.

Pool Parties

We can offer exclusive use of the main pool with our inflatable assault course or use of the small pool filled with various mats, hoops, balls and sinkers for one hour on Saturday mornings during the holiday programme between 10.30-11.30am.

Qualified lifeguards will oversee your party for the duration.

Performing arts centre, Harvey Hall

Our 580 seat air-conditioned performing arts centre is a stunning venue for conferences, concerts, theatre and dance performances. With various breakout rooms and a licensed bar we are able to cater for all manner of events. A technician is on-hand to guide and support you throughout your event.

Sports Facilities

With our extensive grounds and specialist sporting facilities we are very proud to be able to host various sporting events throughout the year.

For hire:

Swimming pools
12 tennis courts (8 floodlit) / 7 netball courts
6 lane grass athletics track, all-weather long jump, high jump and throwing facilities (available between April and September)
55ft x 118ft indoor sports hall
31ft x 53ft gymnasium
7 x lacrosse pitches - can be used for a variety of sports
Additional field space
Changing and washroom facilities available
Pavilion available for court-hire.

Clients who have used our sports facilities include: Active Education Group, British Synchro, GB Men’s Goalball, English Lacrosse Association, Winchester Goalball, University of Winchester, Wessex Swim School, Go Kids Go, Cerebral Palsy Sport, Winchester Rotary Club, Squall Netball, School’s of Sport, Winchester Penguins Swim Club, Surrey Storm Netball, Mark Foster Swim Academy, Elite Sports Camps, PBL Tennis camps, Rugby-Tots.

St Swithun's has been the number one choice venue provider for Elite Sports Camps and their West Advanced Lacrosse Programme for over 10 years. It's the perfect setting with outstanding training sports facilities which meet our programme’s every need.

Accommodation

St Swithun’s can cater for up to 260 overnight guests over 6 self-contained boarding accommodation houses. Please note that residential lets are only available outside of term time.

Each house is able to offer:

Private rooms each with a single bed, desk, wardrobe and basin.
Some dormitory style bedrooms, particularly suitable for younger children
Limited number of en-suite rooms available
Kitchen
Common room with TV and comfortable furniture
Shower rooms, bathrooms and washrooms
Laundry room
Catering and laundry services available on request

For the last fifteen years we have hosted residential language schools during our summer break. Over the last six years we have provided accommodation, classrooms, dining and sports facilities to LaL language centres.

We have worked with St Swithun’s School Lettings Company since 2009 and they have always made us feel welcome. The facilities are great and the response to issues is really good
