The art of printmaking

Sixth form art students attended an exhibition of prints and illustrated books from the Julian Francis collection at the Angelus Gallery in the art school of Winchester College at the end of January.  The exhibition entitled Image and Word contained work from 50 artists from 1920 to the present day and about 50 prints and 50 books.

The students also attended a workshop at the College led by one of the exhibition artists, Linda Landers, where they worked on lino cut prints developed from photos.
