Ski trip to Zell Am See, Austria

Update - Tuesday 14 Feb

We have had excellent skiing conditions here in Zell Am See and all of the girls are enjoying themselves on the slopes and in the evenings. Last night we saw a ski show in Kaprun and on Sunday evening we enjoyed a horse-drawn sleigh ride. Today was full of powdery skiing on the glacier.

Ski trip information

St Swithun’s PE department is taking a school ski trip to Zell Am See in Austria over the February half term (10-18 February). 4 members of staff and 32 girls are heading to Zell Am See and will be staying in the Pension Stadlmühle, a modern, yet traditional family run Austrian property in the village of St Georgen.

Zell Am See itself offers 77km of amazing ski terrain with 28 efficient lifts. There are groomed trails, powder fields and a permanent snowboard fun park to explore. There's a fantastic glacier ski area in nearby Kaprun, which takes you up to 3029m above sea level. The girls will be taken in by the stunning scenery and entertained in the evenings by various fun activities including a horse sleigh ride.
