The School Structure – The Prep School

Our aim, through a process of structured phases, is that by the time the children leave us they have acquired the essence of a desire to learn as well as the beginnings of the means to become independent students.



As the children move up to the Preparatory Department, there is an appropriate increase in the amount of formal work.

The core curriculum consists of English, Mathematics and Science, together with the other foundation subjects, Technology, the Humanities, Music, Art, and Physical Education. Religious Education is non-denominational, though broadly Christian, recognising and respecting other faiths.

These subject areas cover the range of knowledge, skills and understanding generally accepted as necessary for a broad and balanced curriculum.
