“Here we have something really special: sparky, fun and innovative, while maintaining traditional values and academic standards. A cosy school that allows pupils to develop at their own pace but is never lax.”

The Perfect Setting

A perfect location

St Swithun's Junior School is set on an extensive and attractive campus on the eastern fringes of Winchester. The 45 acre site, which we share with St. Swithun’s Senior School, offers inspiring views over the countryside. We are an independent day school for approximately 200 girls (aged 3-11) and boys (aged 3-7).

The pupils enjoy some wonderful facilities. Classrooms are light and practical in design. Specialist teaching areas include a large Music Room, an excellent Sports Hall and a well-stocked Library, as well as good facilities for Science, Art and Technology and an ICT suite. A multi-purpose Assembly Hall stages our school performances and the pupils benefit from our splendid indoor swimming pool. Refurbishment and development of the school buildings regularly takes place and there are extensive and well-equipped grounds for sport and play.
