The St Swithun’s community of both senior and junior schools joined together for assembly in the school’s performing arts centre to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s diamond jubilee.
A trio of senior staff members performed rousing renditions of Rule Britannia and Jerusalem accompanied by the whole school. Dressed in tailcoats, music director Richard Brett and academic music director Robert Patterson accompanied the very patriotically dressed learning support assistant and soprano singer Sarah Fryer.
Everyone was then treated to a video recording of the Junior School orchestra playing God Save the Queen.
