European Lacrosse Championships

St Swithun’s head of PE Justine Mackenzie and teacher Sara Heffernan travelled to Amsterdam to umpire in the European Lacrosse Championships last week.  There were 12 countries represented at the championships including Finland, Sweden and Latvia. England won the gold in the final against Wales with Scotland beating Germany for the bronze.  There were 24 umpires from all over the world including Japan and Australia.

Both teachers have now gained a European umpire rating through the European Lacrosse Federation.
