Creative culinary skills

Last term two members of L5 (Hattie Thursfield and Lucy Neish) and four members of U4 (Georgina Witter, Emily Wilson, Georgia Onslow, Lizzie Umbers) successfully got through to the second round of the Hampshire Create and Cook Competition. Run by Fit2cook food education, the brief is for teams of two to design and cook a two course menu using as many local Hampshire ingredients as possible.

Lucy and Hattie (pictured behind) just missed out on getting to the final but were Hampshire’s highly commended cooks. Their menu consisted of smoked trout ravioli with watercress pesto, crème pâtissière fruit tart with strawberries and raspberries and summer fruit smoothie. They received iTunes vouchers and recipe books as prizes.
