Year 4 kick started the year with a residential trip to Oakwood Youth Challenge Centre.
23 somewhat excited girls, accompanied by three equally excited staff, headed off for three days and two nights of action packed fun.
Everyone had a fantastic time whilst learning how to work as a team and conquering some fears, whether they were afraid of heights or of staying away from home for the very first time.
Over the course of the trip everyone had a go at working as a team on the low ropes course and through a variety of team building games. Individual challenges came through the high ropes course, climbing wall, abseiling, the leap of faith and the flying kiwi (being hoisted into the air by the rest of the team and swung around!) All activities were accompanied by huge amounts of laugher and an awful lot of shrieking.
During their downtime the girls enjoyed lots of delicious food, singing and dancing around to the Wii, playing table tennis and table football. The final night saw everyone gather around the campfire with steaming mugs of hot chocolate, eating marshmallows and listening to stories.
