Hilary Mitchener - Housemistress

Hilary started teaching at St Swithun’s in 1998. She is the head of technology and really enjoys seeing the variety of new designs that the girls produce in this department.

She has been involved in a number of boarding houses as house tutor before joining Venta, initially as AHoM then HoM.

Hilary enjoys travelling and got engaged at the top of Sydney Harbour bridge. When not at school she is busy looking after her two young sons, both of whom have their own little tool boxes and love making things. Both Hilary and her husband are looking forward to travelling with their boys when they are a bit older.

Hannah Savory - Assistant Housemistress

Hannah started teaching at St Swithun’s in 2010 having previously worked in Oxfordshire and Staffordshire. She is a teacher of mathematics and loves it when the girls have a ‘lightbulb’ moment in her lessons. She enjoys being a form tutor and has worked in the L4 team for the last few years. She also co-ordinates the Young Enterprise scheme and is holding out for Alan Sugar to recognise the sixth form talent!

When not at school Hannah spends her time with her husband and children, they can often be found on the A34 as they traipse around the country to visit extended family. Hannah is addicted to her fitbit and is constantly trying to reach her step target (or exceed it).
