Regulars of the Reading Room, a lunch club for enthusiastic readers, have been dedicating this and last term to a very special fundraising project. Unlocking Time is a book which has been written collectively by the group under the guidance of teachers Mrs A Hervey-Bathurst and Mrs C Howard. Members of the school community paid £1 for a copy of the finished book and the opportunity to be drawn in a raffle and featured as one of the characters within the story. Winners include Delphine Legat U5, Ella Jonas U5, Mrs S Heffernan and Jamilah Ranger L4.
Unlocking Time draws on aspects of St Swithun’s past and present for an original and captivating short story, featuring many members of the school community. The money raised goes to this year’s school charities of RNIB, War Child and The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. You can read Unlocking Time here
