Lucy Jonas U6, head of sport writes: At the end of January St Swithun’s held the last super Saturday (teams in all years competing against another school in lacrosse and netball) for the season. Out of 11 toughly fought lacrosse matches against St Paul’s Girls’ School we won 9, drew 1 and lost 1. The 1st team won 7-5, the 2nds 13-4 and 3rds 9-3. A special mention goes to the fearsome U12As, who won their first match of the season 6-5.
The seven netball teams playing didn’t fail to impress either with three great wins from the U14As who won 13-9, the U13Bs who won 14-5 and the U12As who won 19-11. The U15Bs narrowly missed out losing 8-10 and the U15As also had a closely fought match.
Players of the match for lacrosse: Louisa Tice and Natalia Smithers U6, Amber Simner L6, Anna Swart and Talis Humphries U5, Siobhan Tainton M5, Dani Kwakye and Zina Elsheikh L5, Sophia Constantinou-Hickman, Martha Kendall and Emma Pierce U4.

St Swithun’s travelled to Marlborough College in January to play 5-aside football, where both schools came away with one win each. The 1st St Swithun’s team won 10-0, and the 2nds just lost 2-1. Top goal scorer was Lucy Jonas with seven goals for the 1st team.
