PTA

The senior Parent Teacher Association is a friendly and active group of parents and teachers in the Senior School.   There is an equivalent body for the Junior School.

Its main aims are to:

  • promote close cooperation and communication between parents, teachers and pupils
  • engage in activities which support and advance the welfare and education of the pupils attending the school
  • help further the interests and maintain the profile of St Swithun’s School
  • organise social events open to the whole school
  • raise and donate money to the school and the charities it supports
The committee of the PTA meets each term to discuss its business and organise the regular events that are put on throughout the school year, such as a quiz night, drinks and tea parties, sporting tournaments, lectures and a biennial ball.

The PTA’s constitution can be found here and parents are welcome to contact the PTA either at pta@stswithuns.com or by writing to the school office, St Swithun’s School, Alresford Road, Winchester, Hampshire SO21 1HA.
