Amy Dennison L5 writes: In early October, St Swithun’s music scholars, exhibitioners and brass players were given the extraordinary opportunity to go and listen to Mnozil Brass at the Anvil, Basingstoke.
Mnozil Brass are a world famous brass group consisting of 2 trombones, 3 trumpets and a trombone/flugelhorn. They deliver performances with different styles of music, unimaginable ideas and plenty of humour. Mnozil tour the world each year and enjoy a staggering amount of hits on YouTube. One of the most enjoyable parts of the evening was when they performed Lonely Boy. The trombonist/ flugelhorn player was challenged to play two trumpets (one in each hand) and two trombones (one in each foot). He was then lifted up so that he was not even supported by the chair. The evening was thoroughly enjoyable and I am sure that we would all jump at the chance to go again.
