During March all 82 girls in L5 were given £5. They were challenged to grow this money until 8 May, before donating the final amount to our three chosen charities this year: Beat, The Cameron Bespolka Trust and Teenage Cancer Trust.
Girls could do this challenge by themselves or form small groups which would give them a bigger starting capital.
The total amount raised was an astonishing £1,326.96. Several girls individually raised significant amounts including Mia Stares who raised £115 by washing cars and selling cakes and Isobel Wolf who raised £92 by making and selling home-made lemon curd. Amongst the groups collecting the highest sums were: Clemmie Batty and Talis Humphreys with £121 from organising a raffle; Alex Ironside and Eleanor Melhuish raising £155 by washing cars and selling cake and Ellie Love, Phoebe Long and Phoebe Sugden who made £124 from a cake sale.
