Fashion for education

Natalie Aldridge U6 writes: Despite having spent over four months organising this year's annual St Swithun’s fashion show, Flora Gossage, Zoe Wild and I were still nervous on the day. With ten female models from St Swithun’s and ten male models from Winchester College, we began frantic rehearsals at 10am. Everything came together wonderfully and was enjoyed by the 270 guests at the evening event.

We are very grateful to all our generous sponsors: Moda Rosa, Cadogen, Boden, Traffic People, Illustrated People and Motel Rocks provided us with wonderful outfits; Alresford Beauty perfected our models’ make up looks; Guy Kremer salon created catwalk-worthy hairstyles and Storm Models helped with catwalk tips. We were also aided by many pupils and school staff.

However, it is not all about the show itself.  So far we have raised over £1,164 for our sister school St Katherine’s in Uganda, which will go towards funding scholarships for 23 girls there. A sale of some of the show outfits at school this week will increase this amount even further. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket.
