Depth of musical talent

This term’s scholars and exhibitioners concert once again showcased the depth of musical talent in the school. The high standard of woodwind playing from clarinettists Geni Hudson U6 and Mia Stares L5 and our two young oboists Anna Benton L5 and Isobel Gordon L4 was especially encouraging for the future. Mature and accomplished performances were given by Rachel U6 (harp) who played a serene rendition of The Swan by Saint-Saens and Jaisila Patel M5 (piano) who gave a very sensitive performance of Chopin’s Nocturne in C# minor. The Lady Mayoress of Winchester attended the concert and spoke at the end of how impressed she was with the girls’ performances.
