HEAD OF ECONOMICS

Required for September 2018 or January 2019

The school seeks to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic head of economics to teach the subject at A level and prepare pupils for university entry, including Oxbridge applications. The head of economics must be able to inspire and engage pupils, setting high academic standards and encouraging the pupils to develop a genuine interest in economics beyond the classroom.

DIRECTOR OF STUDENT GUIDANCE

Required for January 2019

We are seeking to appoint a director of student guidance who will bring vision, creativity and rigour to the challenge of enhancing the existing strong framework for giving advice and preparation for careers and higher education.

LIFEGUARDS

We are seeking qualified, enthusiastic lifeguards to work at our pool.
This will be a zero hour contract, with various shifts available.
Due to the fluctuating needs of the swimming pool, availability of shifts would vary throughout the year, therefore some flexibility is required.

You must hold a current NPLQ. Duties will include lifeguarding, dealing with enquiries, working on reception and cleaning both wet and dry side of the pool. The pool remains open for 52 weeks of the year.

Hourly rate is £9.17 per hour (comprised of a base rate of £8.18 per hour, plus an annual leave component of £0.99 per hour)
plus benefits including generous contributory pension scheme, use of the swimming pool, refreshments and meals (during term time) when on duty.

LIFEGUARD: FULL-TIME

Required as soon as possible

The successful applicant will be a self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills. A current NPLQ would be an advantage, but the school would be willing to sponsor the qualification of the right candidate. Duties will include lifeguarding, dealing with enquiries, working on reception and cleaning both the wet and dry side of the pool. The pool remains open for 52 weeks of the year. There would also be the opportunity for voluntary overtime, based on the fluctuating needs of the pool.

This role: full-time position; 40 hours per week, working on a rotating three-weekly shift pattern.

Permanent position, but would consider applications for a fixed term contract for the 2018/2019 academic year.

£17,017 per annum
plus benefits including generous contributory pension scheme, use of the swimming pool, refreshments and meals (during term time) when on duty.
