Boarders welcomed a group of local elderly visitors to tea in High House common room at the beginning of this term.
The visit was organised in conjunction with Contact the Elderly, who provide a lifeline of friendship for people aged over 75 who live without social support.
Boarders from all year groups baked and provided the tea for the occasion themselves, which consisted of cakes, sandwiches and scones to accompany the tea and coffee. Girls served, chatted to and entertained their guests with music, poetry and readings.
