Basking in Basque life in San Sebastian

Josie Colvin and Lily Hodges U5 write: Going to San Sebastian with school for a week was one of the most enjoyable and memorable experience of our lives. The course was invigorating, although difficult, and by the end of the week we were feeling super confident and able to speak to strangers in perfect Spanish! We explored the Basque country by trying all the tasty ‘pintxos’ (small snacks) on offer (the fried calamari was a definite favourite!), going on a bike tour along the scenic coast, attempting to play a game of Jai Alai (although failing miserably), visiting the ancient ruins of Pamplona, surfing and impressing the surf instructors with our newly improved Spanish and much, much more. We can’t wait to return when we’re older!
