Artist and St Swithun’s Old Girl Alix Bowyer returned to St Swithun’s last Friday to host the private view of her fine art photography exhibition. Since leaving St Swithun’s Alix has studied at both the University of the Arts London and Camberwell College of Arts.
In her recent work, entitled Document, Alix displays photographic work created through multiple exposures and a selection of work of recent experimentation with pinhole photography.

This event was organised by the sixth form art society who are also organising an art week between 17th-20th June. During art week the art department will be holding a lower and upper school design competition. Students will be able to enter a piece of art inspired by the theme Anything St Swithun’s. The designs will be exhibited in the art block on Friday 21st June. To provide some inspiration two local Winchester based artists, Beki Vaile and Eileen White will run lunchtime workshops and also exhibit some of their work.
