All Old Girls, former and current staff are warmly invited to this year’s Annual Reunion and in particular we will welcome back the “Niners” (Leavers of 1999, 1989, 1979, 1969, 1959, 1949 and 1939). There will be plenty to see and do for everybody, including a revival of the tradition of Gaudy.The Reunion Programme will include:

A varied programme of solos and works for chamber ensemble performed by the School's leading instrumentalists and singers.Venue: St Swithun’s Performing Arts Centre

School Advent Service
Our School’s Advent Sunday celebration, with candlelit procession and wonderful singing. A traditional service, with beautiful music and words for reflection and prayer on the great Advent themes.The choir leads the School community with carols, descants and
rousing hymns.

The School and the Old Girls’ Association invite all Old Girls to an evening Reception at the Royal College of Art. 125th Anniversary Evensong
In May 1884 St Swithun’s School was founded thanks to the inspiration of Anna Bramston, daughter of the then Dean of Winchester Cathedral, John Bramston. Throughout our history, successive deans have contributed to the life of the School by serving on the School Governing Council, and we are delighted that our preacher for this special anniversary service will be The Very Rev’d James Atwell, Dean of Winchester Cathedral.Canticles, psalms, descants and festive anthems sung by the Swithun Choir and the School congregation.

Amy Locke Lecture
Amy Locke was a renowned historian and a worthy recipient of the School’s first Charlotte Yonge Scholarship. This evening’s lecture outlines the founding years of St Swithun’s history before delving into the captivating story of Amy’s life and work before her tragically early death.Venue: St Swithun’s Performing Arts Centre

125th Anniversary Old Girls’ Midsummer Reception
The School and the Old Girls Association invite all Old Girls to a Reception and Private View of the Contemporary Art, Craft and Design Fair at Winchester Cathedral. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet old school friends and enjoy the work of Guilds of Craftsmen from Hampshire & Berkshire, Sussex, Surrey and Oxfordshire alongside a large number of outstanding individual craftspeople.Venue: Winchester Cathedral Inner Close
